Council has developed a draft Voluntary Planning Agreements Policy to provide a clear, consistent framework for negotiating and managing planning agreements amid increasing requests from developers. Guided by legislative requirements, the policy sets high-level principles to ensure agreements are voluntary, transparent, equitable, and deliver genuine public benefit without compromising planning integrity. It aims to support good governance while allowing flexibility for more detailed procedures in future. If endorsed, the policy will be publicly exhibited for 28 days before being finalised.
SUBMISSIONS:
Submissions in relation to this policy can be made to Council until 5pm Wednesday, 24 June 2026. Written submissions should be addressed to the General Manager, PO Box 17, Molong NSW 2866 or emailed to council@cabonne.nsw.gov.au.
Alternatively, you can make a submission using the below form.
Any person may, during this period may make written submissions to Cabonne Council about the proposal. If a submission is made by way of objection, the grounds of objection must be specified in the submission.
