Bluemont Pty Ltd NOAQ Boxwalls

Cabonne Council purchased NOAQ Boxwalls as part of its flood‑mitigation strategy following the 2022 flooding events, using disaster recovery funding. These lightweight, rapidly deployable barriers can be connected to create temporary flood walls designed to protect the community during minor flood events.

Council’s plan is to purchase enough Boxwalls to support the communities most at risk of flooding, including Molong, Canowindra and Eugowra.

Each year, Council staff and emergency responders, including the NSW SES, participate in a full‑day training exercise to practise deploying the Boxwalls. This annual training ensures teams remain confident and prepared to respond quickly and effectively when the community needs them most.
